Hugh & Crye Square-End TiesThe Columbia is a royal blue pocket square end tie with a small repeating white target pattern. Inspired by the South Carolina city, the Columbia is also a complimentary piece to our Charlotte pocket square. This limited edition tie is anything but square. Deliberately casual and distinctive in design, these USA-made ties feature a slim profile reminiscent of the early 1960s. Choose from more than a dozen exclusive designs, ranging from mosaic and floral prints to solid piece-dyed colors. Made of 100% cotton, these ties have a wonderfully soft hand feel, knot up beautifully, and will retain their shape over time. 

Made in USA (Washington, DC)We set up a temporary studio near our headquarters in Washington, DC, and partnered with local talent in pattern drafting and sewing to create a small batch of ties unlike any other. The result is an exclusive collection of square-end ties proudly made in our nationÕs capitalÑit doesnÕt get more American than that.  

How TheyÕre MadeWe start by sourcing fabric from India, Japan, and South Korea. The unique patterns you see were hand-printed on cambric cotton using wooden blocks or custom screensÑa process that dates back to the 1500s. Back in DC, a pattern is hand-drawn and used to cut square-end ties from the fabric. The ties are then sewn (inside out) and Hugh & Crye labels are attached. To finish, the ties are pressed in order to give shape to the tie and create form, while preserving body. The final product is inspected and set live on our site for you to snatch up. All collections are produced in limited quantities, and most fabrics are deacad-stock or incredible difficult to replenish. In other words, these are truly limited items and once they're gone, they're gone.

How We Wear ItWe recommend the four-in-hand and half Windsor knots for our square-ends ties. A blue oxford like the  or one of our Classics like the  in white is always a solid pairing. Keep things interesting by layering with a cardigan, sweater, or jacket of contrasting textures and patterns.
